« Previous Altar and organ in Sacred Heart Chapel Next »
The granite altar table rests directly under the dome of Sacred Heart Chapel. The congregation sits in four sections surrounding the altar. Two of the four seating sections (north and south) can be viewed here. To the south of the altar is the organ which was built and installed by Fritz Noack in 1985. The instrument consists of two manuals and pedal board with 27 stops. Special care was taken in the overall design to incorporate organ sounds which reflect the South German heritage of the monastery.
